Quilt titled The Man in the Red Bandanna
created in memory of Welles Remy Crowther
by his maternal grandmother, Jane Ernst Remy, made with fabric, batting, thread, and photo transfer. This quilt has a wide navy blue border with an inner white and red border. The center appliqué work features colored patches made to look like a skyline. Two narrow strips extending above the skyline, represent the Twin Towers. At the top is a photo transfer of a portrait of Welles Remy Crowther. Text reads: "Wells Remy Crowther | May 17, 1977 - September 11, 2001 | Love Is All That Prevails | Sandler O'Neill and Partners | 2 World Trade Center." A red bandana is attached near the photo transfer.
