Historical Notes Raised in Riverdale in the Bronx, Thomas O’Hagan lived there with his wife, Andrea, and their twin sons. He moonlighted as a bartender while serving in the FDNY, where he rose to lieutenant during a 20-year career. A talented cook, he often made his own recipes at the Engine Company 6 firehouse. On September 11, Lieutenant O’Hagan responded to the North Tower with his unit. He was 43 years old.
Curator's Comment Thomas worked for 10 of his 20 years with the FDNY at Engine Company 58. On 9/11, he was serving with Engine 6. HIDE
