Historical Notes
Raised in Riverdale in the Bronx, Thomas O’Hagan lived there with his wife, Andrea, and their twin sons. He moonlighted as a bartender while serving in the FDNY, where he rose to lieutenant during a 20-year career. A talented cook, he often made his own recipes at the Engine Company 6 firehouse. On September 11, Lieutenant O’Hagan responded to the North Tower with his unit. He was 43 years old.
