Description
Handcrafted wooden tribute book with hinged lid. Wood detailing on the front reads: "NOT FORGOTTEN | SEPT. 11, 2001." A photograph of the Cross at Ground Zero is in the center. On the inside of the lid is a dedication sheet that states:
"This notebook is dedicated in memory of those who perished in Manhattan, New York, at the Pentagon, and on flight 93 in Pennsylvania. To those who suffered and to those who suffer still, as a result of the terrible terrorist act on September 11, 2001. This notebook contains the signatures of over two thousand residents of Ada, Michigan, customers of Ada businesses, friends from nearby areas, and many visitors from other states. We have not forgotten you."
The three-ring binder attached inside the book holds numerous sheets of signature pages.
