Features: The Hunt for Bin Laden

BACK
image here

In a televised speech from the White House on May 1, 2011, U.S. President Barack Obama delivered the news that Osama bin Laden, the al-Qaeda leader responsible for the 9/11 attacks, had been killed in a targeted military strike carried out by U.S. Navy SEALs. Assuring 9/11 victims’ families and the nation that “justice has been done,” the President also asserted that the fight against al-Qaeda would continue.

The Museum's collection contains a number of objects related to the manhunt and death of Osama bin Laden.
