The exhibition features family photographs, oral remembrances, and rotating selections of personal artifacts. The objects in this feature are currently on display in the Memorial Exhibition. This selection of victims' personal artifacts will be on display through Summer 2026.
During their lives, 9/11 victims expressed themselves through their style, their taste in art, and their creativity. The objects in this gallery suggest ephemeral reminders of their presence, whether it was the smell of a favorite perfume, the strains of a cherished mixtape, or the twinkle of rhinestones on a signature pair of glasses. Each is just a sliver of how each person wanted to present themselves, but nevertheless is a window on the dedication, love, or sense of fun that each person showed to the world during their life.
