Historical Notes
Brock Joel Safronoff lived in Brooklyn with his wife, Tara, whom he had met when they were Amherst College classmates and married in August 2001. A native of Traverse City, Michigan, Brock was a Detroit Lions fan and hoped to one day see the team play in the Super Bowl. On September 11, Brock was on the North Tower’s 96th floor at Marsh & McLennan, where he was a computer systems analyst. He was 26 years old.
