Historical Notes
Peter Ortale grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He lived with his wife, Mary, in SoHo in Manhattan and spent weekends at their home in Sag Harbor, Long Island. In his twenties, he canned salmon in Alaska, surfed in Hawaii, and played in the national lacrosse league in Australia. A bond broker for Euro Brokers, Peter was on the South Tower’s 84th floor on September 11. He was 37 years old.
