Historical Notes
The triptych panels were located in the Cortlandt Street subway station beneath the World Trade Center. Rescue teams searching for survivors and victims prominently marked the results of their searches. At the Cortlandt Street subway station, workers used spray paint to indicate that no casualties had been found on September 15, 2001.
