Historical Notes
The annual National Association for Business Economics (NABE) conference was under way in the New York Marriott World Trade Center hotel (3 World Trade Center), located adjacent to the Twin Towers on the morning of September 11, 2001. Many of the approximately 300 participants were attending a keynote address in the hotel’s ballroom when they felt the impact of hijacked Flight 11's crash into the North Tower.
