Historical Notes
Bruno Dellinger felt the North Tower sway violently after hearing a terrible noise in his office on the 47th floor. Concerned for the safety of his staff members at Quint Amasis, the consulting firm he ran, Dellinger urged them to leave at once while he remained behind to close the office. Surrounded by the sound of alarms, Dellinger eventually began his own descent down a stairwell filled with smoke. Reaching the street, he was caught in the cloud of dust and debris from the collapsing South Tower. An FBI agent found him and pulled him into a nearby bank, where the two remained as the North Tower collapsed.
