Historical Notes
Crossing the Brooklyn Bridge in response to emergency dispatch calls, Kevin Allen saw smoke billowing from a hole in the North Tower. On assignment to the Mayor's Office of Emergency Management, he reported to 7 World Trade Center and then to the fire command station in the lobby of the North Tower. He wore this jacket as he helped carry the body of Father Mychal F. Judge away from the disaster site.
