Description Recovered Academy Lines, Inc., bus pass belonging to Patricia Mary Fagan and valid for commutation from Toms River to Wall Street through 09/30/01.
Historical Notes Manhattan native Patricia Fagan lived in Toms River, New Jersey, with her sister and their father. A gregarious person who struck up conversations wherever she went, Patricia served as a greeter at her church’s Saturday night Mass. An assistant vice president at Aon Corporation, Patricia was at work on September 11, on the 98th floor of the South Tower. She was 55 years old.
Curator's Comment On the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, as on any business day, tens of thousands of people commuted to the World Trade Center and lower Manhattan by car, ferry, subway, bus, bicycle, and train. Early in the morning, Patricia Fagan boarded a bus in Toms River, New Jersey, for a two-hour ride to her job at Aon Corporation, an insurance company with offices high in the South Tower. These tickets were recovered from her wallet after 9/11. HIDE
