Historical Notes
Dianne DeFontes was thrown from her chair on the 89th floor of the North Tower when hijacked Flight 11 penetrated the building a few floors above. Carrying this flashlight, she began to descend a dark stairwell cleared of debris by Port Authority employees Francis Albert De Martini, Pablo Ortiz, and Mak Hanna.
