Historical Notes
This office rotary organizer, commonly known as a Rolodex, was found at the World Trade Center site in 2007 during a renewed search for human remains undertaken by forensic archaeologists working with New York City’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner. Despite its exposure to fire and burial in the rubble for more than five years, it is still recognizable as a familiar feature of everyday office work at the World Trade Center.
