- Brown plush teddy bear wearing a white knit sweater with the logo for Voices of September 11th (VOICES) embroidered on the front in black, blue, and red thread. The logo is also embroidered on the bear's right foot in blue thread. The teddy bear is posed in a seated position and has a blue and red ribbon tied around its neck with a handwritten note attached. The paper note features the VOICES logo at the top and handwritten text that reads: "In Memory of Dawn | We understand your grief | and offer our love and prayers. | Bonded by our loss, we are | here to support you and | your family. | Our heartfelt condolences, | Mary Fetchet | and the 9/11 families."

After her son, Bradley James Fetchet, an equities trader at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, was killed on 9/11, Mary Fetchet drew on her experience as a social worker to co-found Voices of September 11th, now known as Voices Center for Resilience (VOICES). Since 2001, VOICES has provided long-term support to 9/11 families, responders, and survivors. VOICES has delivered more than 180,000 hours of assistance to the 9/11 community and expanded its mission through resilience education to communities affected by mass violence worldwide. Fetchet also became a leading advocate for the creation of the 9/11 Commission.
Candles and teddy bears are two comforting gifts offered by VOICES to members of communities that have experienced mass violence. In response to the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, Mary Fetchet attached a handwritten note of condolence to this bear.
