T-Shirt

- White T-shirt with the HEART 9/11 logo printed on the upper left breast. The logo resembles a flag, with blue parallel lines and a red square in the right corner. Printed text reads: "HEART | 9.11 | A Living Legacy | www.heart911.org." On the back of the shirt is a larger representation of the logo. The T-shirt is covered in signatures, drawings, and other handwritten text from members of the HEART 9/11 Haitian Apprentice Program. On the back of the T-shirt is the drawing of two figures; one is labeled "HAITIEN," and the other is labeled "AMERICAN." In between the two figures is a heart with "Yo Love" written inside of it.

During his time as PAPD’s night operations commander at Ground Zero, Lieutenant Bill Keegan formed deep bonds with 9/11 family members, construction workers, and fellow emergency responders. In 2007, he founded HEART 9/11 (Healing Emergency Aid Response Team) to mobilize 9/11 responders, family members, and volunteers to rebuild homes and community spaces after disasters.
After the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, HEART 9/11 rebuilt homes, schools, and churches and established a health clinic. To support long-term recovery, the organization also launched an apprenticeship program in which HEART 9/11 volunteers trained local residents in construction to continue the work of rebuilding.
