A native of Bloomington, Indiana, Lauren Grandcolas lived in San Rafael, California, with her husband, Jack. They were expecting their first child. An advertising sales consultant for Good Housekeeping magazine, Lauren was also writing a self-improvement book for women. On September 11, she boarded Flight 93 to return home after attending her grandmother’s funeral in New Jersey. She was 38 years old.
