Description
Brochure for the Mental Health Association of New York City created for the Asian LifeNet, printed in Chinese.
Historical Notes
The New York State Office of Mental Health (NYOMH) administered and oversaw the design, implementation, and evaluation of Project Liberty, New York's FEMA-funded crisis counseling program that was created to respond to the aftermath of the attacks of September 11, 2001. LifeNet was a preexisting, toll-free 24-hour mental health hotline that offered multilingual services and provided information about mental health services. The Asian LifeNet brochure, written in Chinese, alludes to the impact of 9/11 on Manhattan’s Chinatown, a neighborhood infiltrated by World Trade Center dust.
