Framed watercolor painting by Daniel Libeskind (b. 1946). The watercolor is an early rendering of the redeveloped World Trade Center site, Memory Foundations; it is signed "For Governor Pataki | —with admiration— | Daniel Libeskind, 2003."
In 2003, Studio Libeskind won the competition held by the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC) to plan a new World Trade Center. Architect Daniel Libeskind gave this watercolor rendering to then-New York State Governor George E. Pataki.
