Black 1-inch three-ring binder containing the final briefing schedule including the meetings and activities planned for Mayor Rudolph Giuliani on September 11, 2001. Two printed speeches with accompanying index cards are attached with binder clips and loosely enclosed in the binder. On the front of the binder is a sticker label with "Tuesday, September 11, 2001" printed on it. The exterior black vinyl on the binder is ripping along the left side of the binder.
Mayor Rudolph Giuliani’s official schedule for September 11, 2001, was to have included a late morning staff meeting and time to cast his ballot in the primary election. Learning that a plane had hit the World Trade Center, he immediately left a breakfast meeting in midtown Manhattan to take charge of what he expected would be a major crisis. His official schedule was revised afterward to reflect the events of 9/11.
