Historical Notes
Robert (Bob) DiChiara worked at the World Trade Center beginning in 1972, soon after the Twin Towers were built. Starting as an electrical supervisor, he eventually worked his way up to become Assistant Director in the World Trade Department of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey from 1991 to 1997. From there, he transitioned to work under Guy Tozzoli at the World Trade Center Association as Executive Vice President. On the morning of September 11, 2001, DiChiara was walking to work from Battery Park City when Flight 11 slammed into the North Tower, where his office was located.
This ID card predates the 1993 bombing.
