Historical Notes
Artist Richard Sloat lived in a loft apartment in the Lower East Side with his partner, Su-Li Hung. The two had met in the early 1970s at the Art Students League of New York. Often using the Twin Towers in their work, the couple initially earned a livable income by selling prints of their art on the streets of New York.
