Andrew Fredericks was born and raised in Suffern, New York. He lived there with his wife, Michelle, and their two children. A firefighter at FDNY Squad 18, Andrew was a water nozzle expert who lectured nationally on firefighting gear and techniques. On September 11, Firefighter Fredericks responded with his unit to the North Tower. He was 40 years old.
