Memorial poster created in memory of Raymond R. York. The poster includes a photograph of York with part of a speech given by York in August, 2001, printed on the left side. Handwritten on the poster is text that reads: "My Brother | F.F. Raymond R. York worked at the "fire zone" on 51st in Rockefeller Center. He taught fire safety to children and families. He hitchiked [sic] downtown 9-11 was killed when the north tower came down. See you in heaven Ray, Love your brother Richie. | Mom, Dad, Brothers, Sisters, wife Joan, Mike 9, Robbie 11, Kristina 14, Kristen 15, will miss him and keep his spirit alive."

Historical Notes
Queens native Raymond York lived on Long Island. He and his wife, Joan, had three children, and Raymond also had a daughter from a previous marriage. A member of FDNY Engine Company 285, Firefighter York had been injured in 2000 and was on light duty participating in a children’s fire safety show on September 11. When he heard of the attacks, he responded to the towers. He was 45 years old.
