Passaic-Clifton paramedic patch belonging to John P. Skala. The patch is white with yellow-threaded trim and is made in the shape of a badge. "PASSAIC-CLIFTON | MICU | N.J." is embroidered in blue. In the center are a yellow, orange, and blue diagonal band of stripes with a superimposed silver Caduceus.

Historical Notes
A native of Passaic, New Jersey, John Skala lived in Clifton. In his free time, he volunteered at the New Jersey Special Olympics and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. He also liked to sing at karaoke bars. A PAPD officer, John was assigned to the Lincoln Tunnel and worked part time as a paramedic. On September 11, Officer Skala reported to the towers from a New Jersey courtroom. He was 31 years old.
