Born in New Jersey, Matthew Horning lived in Hoboken. He enjoyed spending time with his parents, Diane and Kurt, and his girlfriend, Maura. Matthew rooted for the New York Mets and Jets and was learning to play the guitar. He joined Marsh & McLennan in 1999 and worked as a database administrator. On September 11, Matthew was at his office on the North Tower’s 95th floor. He was 26 years old.
