Bird's Eye View
Lithograph print titled Bird's Eye View, created by Brenda Berkman (b. 1951). The print depicts an aerial view of lower Manhattan from the perspective of a Red-tailed Hawk flying over the Hudson River. The One World Trade Center building is depicted, as well as its reflection on the Hudson River. The print is signed.
This print is part of a series titled 36 Views of One World Trade Center, created by 9/11 first responder and FDNY member Brenda Berkman as she documented the construction of the new One World Trade Center building from 36 vantage points around the city. For Berkman, printmaking became a path through the trauma she had experienced on 9/11 and in the subsequent months that she spent at Ground Zero.
