Lithograph print titled Looking Down, created by Brenda Berkman (b. 1951). The print depicts an aerial view of the World Trade Center site amid construction as seen from the One World Trade Center observation deck. The South Pool on the Memorial and the Museum Pavilion are visible as well as the Oculus (transportation hub) and the beginning construction of the 3 World Trade Center building to the right. The print is signed.
This print is part of a series titled 36 Views of One World Trade Center, created by 9/11 first responder and FDNY member Brenda Berkman as she documented the construction of the new One World Trade Center building from 36 vantage points around the city. For Berkman, printmaking became a path through the trauma she had experienced on 9/11 and in the subsequent months that she spent at Ground Zero.
