Lithograph print titled Meadowlands, created by Brenda Berkman (b. 1951). The print depicts the view of lower Manhattan as seen from the New Jersey Meadowlands. The view shows broken posts, utility poles, New Jersey bluffs, and roads near the Secaucus train station. Only the One World Trade Center building is distinguishable in the city skyline in the background. The print is signed.
This print is part of a series titled 36 Views of One World Trade Center, created by 9/11 first responder and FDNY member Brenda Berkman as she documented the construction of the new One World Trade Center building from 36 vantage points around the city. For Berkman, printmaking became a path through the trauma she had experienced on 9/11 and in the subsequent months that she spent at Ground Zero.
