Description
Handwritten note left at the 9/11 Memorial in memory of Lukasz Tomasz Milewski. The note is written on a piece of heart-shaped paper. The note reads: "Dear Lukasz! | You're not forgotten! | We LOVE you! | We MISS you! | Forever in our hearts. | Forever young | 11/13/1978 | 9/11/2001" The note is attached to a print photograph of Milewski, and a wooden skewer is taped to the back of both the note and photograph.

Historical Notes
Lukasz Milewski was born in Suwałki, Poland. He was a fan of techno music and enjoyed going to dance parties with friends. A college student in marketing and management in Poland, Lukasz moved to Queens in July 2001 and found a summer job at Forte Food serving food in Cantor Fitzgerald’s cafeteria. On September 11, Lukasz was at work on the North Tower’s 101st floor. He was 21 years old.
