Historical Notes
U.S. Secret Service Agent Thomas Armas was at the gym on the ninth floor of 7 World Trade Center when hijacked Flight 11 struck the nearby North Tower. After helping to set up a triage station on West Street, Armas entered the North Tower to search for people in need of assistance. Holding this yellow flashlight, he guided evacuees from the mezzanine level down to the lobby.
