Movie poster for the film Object of My Affection, 1998. The poster features actors, Jennifer Aniston, wearing a light blue dress with her hair styled in a bun, being casually dipped by Paul Rudd, wearing a tuxedo. The two are looking into each other's eyes and smiling. In the background is the Manhattan skyline with the Twin Towers prominent. Text at the bottom of the poster includes the actor names, title, and film tag line: "Sometimes the most desirable relationship is the one you can't have," followed by the cast and production information. The film was rated R.
Until their destruction on 9/11, the Twin Towers dominated the Manhattan skyline. Symbols of American ingenuity and audacity, they provided an immediate visual association with the irrepressible vitality of New York City. Appearing again and again in the movies, the towers became permanently etched into the public imagination.
