DescriptionDrawing titled
Safe Room: You Were Catastrophically Failed by Your Bigness by Erin Konstantinow, created in memory of her brother,
Brent James Woodall. The abstract drawing is colored pencil on board and is primarily black and white. There are two distinct shapes in the drawing representing the windows in the fire-safe room on the 87th floor of the South Tower in which Konstantinow's brother and many of his co-workers perished. An orange flame-like coloration sits at the base of the shape on the left, representing the encroaching destruction. The small portion of blue visible in the lower corner of the shape on the right depicts the blue sky of that morning, representative of the fleeting hope of rescue for Woodall and his friends.
