Historical Notes Yonkers, New York native William Fallon lived in Rocky Hill, New Jersey, with his wife, Brenda. The couple had raised a son. William took up running in his forties and was training for a half marathon in Philadelphia on September 16. On September 11, William, a Port Authority general manager, went to work on the North Tower’s 62nd floor. He was 53 years old.
Curator's Comment William was a U.S. Naval Officer. He had been appointed to Annapolis but did not pass the eye exam. He then went to Villanova and joined the Navy ROTC. He was commissioned as an Ensign in 1970 and served on the Admiral's Staff with Admiral Zumwalt on the USS Saratoga and USS Forrestal during the Vietnam War. HIDE
