Recovered black leather badge holder belonging to Ronald G. Hoerner. The badge holder is empty but flips open like a wallet, with a compartment for the badge on the left side. The holder is significantly damaged and coated in dust.

Queens native Ronald Hoerner lived in Massapequa, Long Island, with his wife, Barbara. He had three stepdaughters and six grandchildren. Ronald had served as a state trooper before joining Summit Security Services. He worked as a resident security manager at the World Trade Center. On September 11, Ronald was seen helping a woman evacuate from the South Tower. He was 58 years old.
