Historical Notes Brooklyn native Charles Houston lived there with his wife of 13 years, Linda. Charles enjoyed cooking, a skill he learned from his father. Breakfasts were Charles’s specialty, with apple pancakes and corned beef hash fried on the griddle. Charles worked as an assistant vice president at Euro Brokers. On September 11, he was at his office on the 84th floor of the South Tower. He was 42 years old.
