Historical Notes
Fiduciary Trust employee, Donovan Cowan, was burned over 50 percent of his body when Flight 175 hit the South Tower on the morning of September 11. Cowan suffered third-degree burns to his torso, legs and hands, and received four skin grafts. He also nearly died of kidney failure and inhalation injuries to his lungs and heart. On February 21, 2002, Cowan was the last injured World Trade Center victim to be released from the hospital.
