Historical Notes
Worley (Lee) and Joyce Reed, retired employees of the U.S. Diplomatic Security Service, State Department were survivors of the August 7, 1998 terrorist bombing of the U.S. embassy in Nairobi, Kenya. The Reeds stayed at the New York Marriott World Trade Center hotel in May 2001 during their visit to New York to observe the federal trial of embassy bombing conspirators. They kept their hotel key card.
