Description
SO15 Counter Terrorism Command | New Scotland Yard challenge coin. The coin is white with blue engraved text around the border that reads: "COUNTER TERRORISM COMMAND | NEW SCOTLAND YARD." The reverse side of the coin features an image of the London skyline in the center with the Union Jack printed inside the London Eye. "SO15" is engraved in the skyline's silhouette, and "COUNTER TERRORISM COMMAND | METROPOLITAN POLICE" is engraved around the border.

Historical Notes
After 9/11, the U.S. government mobilized intelligence and federal law enforcement agencies to share data and expertise with each other, U.S. military partners, international allies, and local informants to combat vast terrorist networks. The influx and analysis of recovered items increased dramatically.
Counter Terrorism Command or SO15 is a Specialist Operations branch within London's Metropolitan Police Service.
