Historical Notes Jerome Nedd came to the United States as a child from Trinidad and Tobago. He lived in Brooklyn with his wife, Roxanne, and their two sons. He also had a third son. After graduating from the New York Restaurant School, Jerome found a post at Windows on the World and soon became a cook at the restaurant’s bar. On September 11, Jerome was at work on the 107th floor of the North Tower. He was 39 years old.
Curator's Comment Jerome Nedd immigrated with his family to the United States from Trinidad and Tobago as a teenager. After college, he pursued his interest in food at the New York Restaurant School, where he received this medal upon graduation. From there, he became a cook at Windows on the World in the North Tower. His son Jerome Jr. remembers father-and-son chess games and long bike rides. Even at home, his son remembers, Jerome was often cooking. HIDE
