Historical Notes
Brooklyn native Eric Olsen lived in Eltingville on Staten Island. His hobbies ranged from wood carving and working with stained glass to restoring his collection of 11 vintage vehicles, which included 1940s Cadillacs and a Ford fire engine from the 1960s. Eric spent more than a decade with the FDNY at Ladder Company 15. On September 11, Firefighter Olsen responded to the North Tower. He was 41 years old.
