Historical Notes
Brooklyn native Thomas Kelly lived in Riverhead, Long Island. Thomas loved the water, whether he was swimming at the beach, exploring the shark tank of an aquarium, or deep-sea diving in Belize. He also enjoyed cycling and had completed a 400-mile charity ride in summer 2000. A firefighter with FDNY Ladder Company 105, on September 11, Firefighter Kelly responded to the towers. He was 39 years old.
