Historical Notes
Perth Amboy, New Jersey, native Abner Morales lived in Ozone Park, Queens, with his wife, Norma, and their two children, ages 2 and 11. Abner spent free time drawing and listening to music. Coworkers saw that creative spirit in his work at Fiduciary Trust, where he was a Lotus software programmer praised for his “golden fingers.” On September 11, he was at work high in the South Tower. He was 37 years old.
