Recovered car hood from a damaged U.S. Customs Service vehicle. The hood is dark blue and bears the Great Seal of the United States in the center with "UNITED STATES | CUSTOMS SERVICE" printed in white. The number "1326" is spray-painted in red on the right side of the hood.

Historical Notes
Nearly 1,400 damaged vehicles were recovered from around Ground Zero and transported to Fresh Kills Landfill for search and disposal. This hood was recovered and saved.
