Historical Notes
As a youth in his native Romania, Joshua Poptean trained as a horse jockey. In his teens, he came to the United States with his family. As an adult, Joshua lived in North Flushing, Queens, and was a project manager for Bronx Builders. On September 11, Joshua was with colleagues on the North Tower’s 107th floor, meeting with Windows on the World staff about a project. He was 37 years old.
