Description
Challenge coin for the American Society for the Support of Injured Survivors of Terrorism. The coin is gold-colored with the logo of a hand in the center and raised text: "American Society for the Support | of Injured Survivors of Terrorism." The reverse side of the coin features an American flag in the center and raised text: "JUSTICE FOR ALL TERRORISM SURVIVORS | www.assist-survivors.org."
Historical Notes
ASSIST, the American Society for the Support of Injured Survivors of Terrorism, was founded by Worley (Lee) and Joyce Reed, retired employees of the State Department’s U.S. Diplomatic Security Service and survivors of the August 7, 1998 bombing of the U.S. embassy in Nairobi, Kenya.
