Description
World Trade Center site identification card issued to Fredrick Lewis of VMAT-2. Historical Notes
Following the events of September 11, 2001, Dr. Frederick Lewis, Jr. was deployed to Ground Zero as the acting Team Commander of the Veterinary Medical Assistance Team 2 (VMAT-2). He and his team provided medical attention to search-and-rescue dogs, police horses, and other injured animals found near the site.
