Description
Memorial lapel pin created in memory of Durrell V. Pearsall, Jr. The pin is square with a Maltese cross in the center. "In Loving Memory of | BRONKO" is printed at the top with Pearsall's nickname between the Twin Towers and a shamrock with "E4" printed in it. Below the towers is a leprechaun on a football field wearing a fire helmet and carrying a drum. "HFD" is printed on the left, for Hempstead Fire Department and "261" is printed on the right.

Historical Notes
Durrell Pearsall was raised and lived in Hempstead on Long Island. Much of his life revolved around FDNY Rescue Company 4. Captain of the FDNY football team, Durrell was also a drummer in the FDNY Emerald Society Pipes and Drums and had a tattoo of the band’s logo. On September 11, Firefighter Pearsall responded to the towers. He was 34 years old.
