Lifelong Brooklyn resident John Sbarbaro lived in Bay Ridge with his partner, Jude. John coached a local football team, golfed even in the dead of winter, and regularly attended New York Mets spring training, where he and friends formed a kazoo-playing cheering section. On September 11, John, a bond trader at Cantor Fitzgerald, was at work on the North Tower‘s 105th floor. He was 45 years old.
