Framed color photograph taken by Gordon Haberman in September 2001 depicting a construction dumpster spray-painted with the message "bin LADEN MUST DIE." Another dumpster, overturned, has the message "THANK YOU FDNY." The dumpsters were near Ground Zero, and the photo was taken through a chain-link fence.

Historical Notes
Gordon Haberman's daughter, Andrea Lynn Haberman, was at the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11, 2001. Unable to reach Andrea after the event, Gordon and the rest of Andrea's family traveled to New York from their home in Wisconsin to search for her. While in the city, Gordon took this photograph and later hung it in the family living room. For almost 10 years, it remained on view in their home until May 2011 when news broke that bin Laden had been found and killed in a hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
